Cory Online Championships – The Videos

After a few technical hiccups on the Cory Band stream our videos were shown to the watching audience on Friday 25th September. Generally the music and videos were very well received by the judges and there was some very nice comments made by all of the adjudicators.

Now they have been shown to the world on the contest stage it is time to make them available across our social media platforms.

Piece 1; Disney Assemble
The first of 3 pieces produced for the Cory Online Entertainments Contest 2020. Included in this piece is the Marvel opening credits, Avengers Assemble (with a hint of the Imperial March) and finally One Jump from Aladdin.

Piece 2; A Pure Heart, Over the Rainbow
Our second piece for the Cory Online Entertainments Contest 2020!

A Pure Heart, Over the Rainbow is our dedication to the keyworkers, particularly during the height of the pandemic. It features the traditional welsh song Calon Lan as well as Over the Rainbow. Both pieces were performed on doorsteps across the country on Thursday nights. Our thanks must go to our guest guitar player Andy Bergin for his contribution. The piece features Charlotte Ankers on Flugel and Joe Atkinson on Trombone.

Piece 3; Lockdown Loosening March

Our third and final piece of the Cory Online Entertainments Contest 2020!

Our finale tracks the course out of lockdown featuring prominent pieces from that time. Barnard Castle provides the basis as we celebrated 1 year since our joint concert with Norwegian band Krapfoss Hornorkester. This was the piece we closed our concert within June 2019 and we performed again in June 2020 as a socially distanced video. We’ll Meet Again is included in memory of Dame Vera Lynn and You’ll Never Walk Alone reflects Liverpool’s Premier League success.
