We had the pleasure of performing at Hare Hill park in Littleborough. It’s a lovely job on a traditional bandstand with the audience scattered 360° around for full engagement.
The event is run by the Friends of Hare Hill who always support all attendees with a coffee or slice of cake available, with all profits being reinvested back into musical events held throughout the year.
We were a little earlier in the schedule this year than previously, we have been performing here since pre-Covid, so we’re no strangers to the park. Our programme this year showed off a variety of soloists (Rebecca, Nicola, Kate and Alex) and a wide selection of music from traditional Last Night of the Proms favourites to modern K-Pop film music.
This year we were led by Joey Wong, as Karl was taking a well earned break. Joey has been helping conducting the band recently as Karl has been recovering from a broken wrist, so this concert was a chance to show off the work he has been doing with us. The programme was very well received and the audience got to connect with him over some terrible jokes.
